Adguard VPN Torrent Speed Limited

Hi. I am on Adguard Pro Plan, why my torrent speed is being limited to 3MBps speed. I have 1Gbps internet plan. With other VPNs (Such as proton etc) i get around 10MBps+ speed . So clearly it is adguard issue. and sometimes when using adguard vpn torrent even start.

how can i fix this or adguard vpn has put this limit.?!

Thank you

Speed limited

I have experienced this behavior as well. Only for p2p, otherwise it works fine. It’s true that the speed of their VPN is not the fastest, but it offers a good integration with Adguard adblocker.

The other problem I have is the frequent disconnection for a specific country that I use regularly. In the end, I think I’ll switch to another VPN provider and keep using Adguard product where they are the best meaning adblocking.

I see from the image that you are using qBittorrent, and it looks like it is the Windows version, So I guess you are using the Windows OS. I just installed the AdGuard VPN, the free version. It is important to know that the free version does have limits of “3 GB per month, speed limit of 20 Mbs perhaps a limited number of servers. It is of interest to note that 20 Mbs is equal to 2.7 MBs, could something be wrong with your account That they believe you have only the free version? If possible I recommend pausing qBittorent and doing a speed test with the VPN on. If you get a lot more than 20 Mbs then you know that is not the problem. There are a lot of other things that could be causing your speed problems. Internet providers hate BitTorrent because they use a lot of connections at the same time, so it may be that you are trying to connect to too many at the same time. It may be the same problem with the VPN server you are connected to. I saw that AdGuard VPN has special servers for BitTorrent. https://www.vpnmentor.com/reviews/adguard-vpn/ Three-quarters of the way down the page she says " I contacted support and was told that AdGuard’s servers for torrenting are located in DMCA Free Zones” but They did not say which countries or servers, so you will need to contact AdGuard for that information.

Attention: check your Tracker status in qBittorent, In the Free version of AdGuard VPN my trackers were showing as not working.

why not use protonvpn ?

Same problem here… :frowning:

I do not use adguard but have you tried changing server? Maybe on some servers torrenting is throttled?

where are you from btw ?

i use PIA and Adguard dns im getting all the bars on my 900mbps BT connection.

PIA is like 80 quid for 3 years

Adguard probably has less servers than for example, Nord VPN, which would have alot more server capacity in more countries that are closer to you.

Typical response. Everything is fine.

yes. true… they are not improving their VPN services. Seems like they should always stick to adblocker only.

I cannot p2p in Australia location but I can when I switch to US (Miami). I think the linked article is pretty accurate so far.

i am using Adguard paid VPN and getting full speed on speedtest.net. just seeing speed throttling on torrent. i dont think ISP is limiting (other VPN works fine, even free ones give better speed than adguard VPN_.

Proton is expensive. A partnership with Adguard would have been fabulous

because it is quite expensive. i bought adguard VPN on sale.

Seems like adguard VN issue then. and they are not even bothering to reply or provide us fix… :frowning:

yes. i tried changing servers, and it gets worse instead of getting improved. (i get around 1MBps with other servers, and it goes down and down with High latency servers)

their server is literally in UAE, Dubai. and i am in DUbai as well, so server location is not the issue i guess…

If a speed check is giving you the correct speeds the only other thing I can think is that ports may need to be opened. I do not have this issue so I am not sure I personally used a seedbox.

Umm i think you are being dumb.?!
i said i got the typical response from them “no issue from their side etc etc”…
umm, you can leave this post. that would be much better.
