Some free VPNs don’t even allow P2P traffic, in other words, torrenting doesn’t even work. Best to get a paid VPN, Mullvad is good.

The users in the thread claim that the BitTorrent web is just a webpage interface for a torrent software that runs on your machine, and not inside the browser, in other words, it doesn’t benefit from the protection of the Opera VPN. Opera doesn’t mention P2P in their VPN ad copy so I doubt they allow it. Usually if a VPN allows P2P, they will advertise that as it is a huge selling feature.
