I can’t watch any videos on Formula 1s Youtube channel while using a VPN. It always shows me “Video unavailable”.
I’m using NordVPN as of today. Same problem occured with Mullvad and Proton. It happens in every browser I tried. I’m not connected to countries where the videos are blocked.
Does anybody know what could cause this?
Seems like they’re simply blocking known VPN IP addresses. Not sure if it’s available to select through channel control on Youtube or if it’s Youtube itself blocking it automatically, but I was able to access the videos while connected to the latest servers. These are the ones with the highest server # numbers. To see the full list, simply enter to the Search bar within the app “Country Name #” (I’ve tried US).
I’ve noticed certain servers don’t work with certain services/sites. I usually just select a different server from the region and it works.
Thanks, the latest US server worked fine. The latest Germany server not so much.
Weird it didn’t work for literally every server I tried until I tried with the most recent Nord US server
Since i use swiss server, i just click on the swiss dot and everything works fine. Never had an issue where a re-select didn’t work. Do you use nord with something else? Like adblockers and what not. Once i did manage to break many sites by setting a stupid custom user agent on adguard and/or when using adguard to “mask” my real ip, which probably clashed with nord.
Yeah I use ublock origin and some YouTube addons… I’ll try again without adblockers later.
