While connected to surfshark VPN I checked dnsleaktest and it shows 1 server found. I tried the surfshark dns leak test and it showed I was not protected. I tried another site and got the same result. Any reason why 1 test shows I’m protected and others say I’m not?
UPDATE: So I am running Surfshark on my S23 and on a Firecube 3rd gen. On my phone the surfshark dns check shows I’m protected. on the fire cube dnsleaktest shows no leaks. on defsquid it shows i’m protected however, surfhark dns leak test shows i’m unprotected on the fire cube. I tried 2 other dns leak tests on the fire cube and they also showed I was not protected even though the vpn was connected to the miami server.
Just something’s to look into should be a dns flush, clear cache and history on said PC. Maybe reset network settings in SS. Or are you using a ISP provided router? Or 3rd party make sure its updated . Test your IP / DNS leak and compare it to your VPN connection IP/DNS if they don’t match I would say you should be good.
I had this issue with SS for almost 2 years. Back and forth with emails to SS but they refused to admit there was an issue. They tried telling me it was my network and not SS. Funny, it happened on pretty much all networks and also on all my devices.
I got bored of emailing them now as all I get from them is the same random emails asking me the same questions each time due to a new person (I say person because no one seems to have the experience to be called anything else) each time.
The last 6 months or so it as improved but still leaks from time to time. The sad thing is, the app tells me I am protected but then you do a test and thats when you find you are not.
I find that if I install an app from Google play store then for some reason it leaks all the time after installation.
Hi there! If your Surfshark connection is working well for you, then there should be no leaks. Also, it is a good idea to clear your browser cache before checking for leaks as your previous location can be cached sometimes.
That being said, we’d like to investigate this issue for you more in-depth, perhaps you could contact our support team at [email protected] or join our live chats?
Hi! I apologize for the trouble you had and since this issue has been present for a long time for you, could you contact us at [email protected] so we could take a deeper look into the problem?

Yeah you say you apologize but in reality you, like the rest of SS don’t really care. I had been emailing Miles for some time, but again all that ever happened was that he kept repeating his emails like they were a script, we kept going over and over the same crap each and every time and not getting anywhere
I got bored of all this and dealing with people who never took the issue seriously and actually did something about it. I am not wasting anymore of my time emailing again only to have to go through the same crap all over again. This so-called Miles is probably as fake as SS security and a different random person each time anyway.
