The VPN itself won’t work - you’ll see a “subscription expired” message. However, if you keep the app installed, you may still use their password manager, ExpressVPN Keys.
Mine just expired, but the app says it’s still connected, despite having the text at the top saying the Subscription has ended. How do I check if it’s actually still routing my traffic through the VPN, versus just just displaying a green “it’s all ok here, but not really” icon? I figured a quick and dirty way to check would be to fire up Google Maps and use the crosshairs icon to see where it thought I was, and ensure it aligned with what my VPN was previously set to, but it just came back with “Your precise location could not be determined”, which, while potentially promising, may be due to other permissions settings…
ETA: part of me wonders if it stays connected until you actually log off the service, so that’s what I was hoping you guys could educate me on.

VPN no. However, I have been using their media stream free for 3 years now. That’s how shitty their security is.
Once in a while it stops working, all you have to do is login with expired account and pretend to resubscribe and it all works again.
