Does ProtonVPN in Windows automatically connect again after a disconnection due to Network hiccup?

Does ProtonVPN in Windows automatically connect again after a disconnection due to Network hiccup? I don’t think so, but I thought to ask. Thank you.

As long as there is features to auto connect I would think it would be able to do so. I would also have a kill switch option enabled maybe to protect in case it disconnected and the reconnected to a different network (not sure if you are using wired or wireless network).

But I don’t know the feature of protonvpn since I only used the free version and didn’t explore many features or use it all the time since free subscriptions have significantly slower speeds. I then bought NordVPN subscription which has auto connect and kill switch features.

Kindly note that ProtonVPN will automatically reconnect if you have the Kill Switch feature enabled. A kill switch is a security feature that protects your IP address in case you unexpectedly lose the connection to a ProtonVPN server.
In case the connection is interrupted, a kill switch blocks all external network traffic to and from your device until the connection is automatically re-established to the same VPN server.

You can find more information on this here:

We hope this helps clarify.

I know, thanks. But I liked to see separate setting in ProtonVPN, just like IPVanish:

Thanks a lot for listening. I love ProtonVPN Plus very much, that’s why I always want it to be better than the rest.
