European looking for a VPN service with strong privacy policies and easy user interface

I’m new to VPNs and after searching for about a day I’m still not sure which provider seems to be the best from a European perspective.

I intend to use USENET, HULU and the BBC services if possible, an easy possibility to switch servers would be great since I’m quite new to “advanced network settings”.

Could you please make a few suggestions? Even after reading for hours it just seems to get more and more confusing when it comes to choosing a service with a strong privacy policy, good speed and unlimited volume at a reasonable price.

I’ve tried a few but I’m still quite new in the vpn game. First tried Proxy.sh and astrill.com experienced bad speeds transatlantic and in Europe where I’m located. Last one I’ve tried is privateinternetaccess.com, bedt do far. Good speed, plenty of locations to choose from. Easy software and seems to have good support services as well. Also the don’t logg data and has gotten good reviews around the Web. My reason for getting vpn is hiding my torrent traffic and using streaming services in the US.

Have had good experiences with AirVPN

They are EU based, have an easy to use interface and have several methods of payment.
The forums are always busy and I’ve found the staff helpful with any issues you may run across.

Here is a list of their servers.

I use PureVPN in Europe. It’s really cheap and based in Hong Kong.
and i get this service with the help of http://purevpn.com/vpn-service/europe-vpn.php

I would suggest LiquidVPN. The VPN client is super simple. Just install it and choose an SSL PPTP or L2TP server to connect to. It will stay up to date with the latest VPN servers on the network as well as software updates.

I just looked at the web page, sounds really nice

Is it hard to configure?

Can it easily be activated/deactivated “with a click”, or would I have to manually reconfigure the system settings every time?

What payment method can you recommend? I’m really not keen on bitcoins since I would either have to use paypall (really don’t like it) or some more exotic services paid with my cc to get some. Is payment via amazon.com acceptable from a privacy point of view (I guess not)? What is the best way to go?

bedt do far

Sorry, I didn’t get this bit…

AirVPN is fantastic. Just read through their “about us” founding story and you’ll see that it isn’t your average company.

One thing that really stuck out to me is how Freenode IRC endorses PIA but has banned AirVPN. I guess some AirVPN user was making unpleasant comments in a channel, but when Freenode inquired about him, AirVPN refused to reveal his identity.

So knowing that Freenode won’t allow access from services that respect user privacy 100%, why do they allow and endorse PIA? I’m not suggesting anything, but it makes you wonder.

With PIA all you do is install a lightweight tray icon that allows you to connect by right clicking, then clicking connect, and once that little icon turns green, all your traffic will be filtered through their server. They have excellent speeds (for a vpn) and all comes at a low price. I have never had a problem and recommend their service.

It was supposed to be ‘best so far’
About payment i use PayPal. Seing that Noone can see what I put through the vpn I don’t see why it would be risky to not be anonymous. If you need to be I guess bitcoin is your best choice.

The setup is really easy. Just install and connect. You are in and out just with a click. Same with changing servers.
