I served Shanghai municipal government from 2006-2019. My last position rank in China was section chief (正处级).
spent 2 years in Germany during refugee crisis (not as a refugee)
can take a deep dive into Chinese political and economy system

Now, this is an old article, older even than your government assignment. How much of what this old article describes has any basis in reality in the current China of 2024?
This poster can’t answer any of your questions, he’ll disappear.
How widespread is curruption? Is it something you were careful not to get involved in? or are there grey areas which everyone takes part in? This last two weeks I had family in a small town get potentially caught up in a corruption case, leaders are up for some pretty big numbers while they were a pawn, they have resigned but may still get in trouble for signing off on some of the work.
Damn. Open an AMA, don’t respond for hours, don’t elaborate.
Maybe they got you really fast or just biased as f.

CCP must’ve caught him already. Radio silence…poor guy
What percentage of then fellow colleagues would see Xi as a savior or to those who’d see him as a despot? If you’re still in touch with former colleagues how do they feel about direction of government, are they optimistic
You left your government job, may I ask why? Being in the government is considered to be a prestigious job, especially one from Shanghai.
I don’t believe you are who you say you are at all.

How would you rate the competency of government officials (those appointed to higher positions, or participating in congresses) in their relative fields as compared to the competency of comparable bureaucratic officials in Germany?
Why doesn’t the CCP acknowledge that a lot of them are alive thanks to food deliveries from Australia when the Great Leap Forward killed so many?
Your Huawei phone wants to know your Location.
How linked is the Chinese government to triads? See 2019 Yuenlong Attacks, overseas police stations threats/intimidation, human trafficking/scam operations/drug production in One Belt One Road countries, like Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, etc.
What percentage of your income was formal and “informal”? Did that change substantially from 2006 to 2019? What are your thoughts on the future? Thanks.
What are the chances that you’re LARPing?
Shouldn’t we get mods to verify this
In official translations of Chinese political system, “处” is always translated into “division”, and “科" is always translated into “section”.
OP says he was “处级” but used “section”. This is not likely a mistake made by a Chinese official who spent two years in Germany.
I would say he’s trolling. Highly likely to be a disgusting pinky or incel.
##What level were you and what category? give three facts to prove what you say-- extremely easy to do without revealing anything at all about yourself, you can pick the third one. You look %100 bot or liar right now though lol.
