I installed Salad yesterday. For 1st time use, Salad tried to configure my PC for mining and install miner(s).
Problem is INSTALLING bar always stuck at 99%.
I tried to : Add Salad to windows defender whitelist, open prograam in Administrator, Restart PC, waiting for 2:30 Hours, no sucess!
I have a tp-link and a Huawei router with 2 diffrent IPS. I can access to site with Huawei one but I can’t with tp-link one. Sounds like IPS block salad or vise versa so I have to use VPN. Huawei router is out if internet package so I was using tp-link router to set up Salad.
My spec : core i5 gen 6, 8G ram, GTX950 2G vram
My guess would be that Salad is just mistaking an incompatible hardware issue as being an antivirus / ISP issue. The GTX 950 was a mid-end GPU even at its release, almost a decade ago.
You could try closing any applications that could be using your GPU, but even if you manage to get it to work, you’ll likely not earn too much… Mining nowadays requires a decent modern GPU to earn much.
Yes I know my spec isn’t suitable for mining.
I checked earn > miner detail and seems like Salad recognized both GPU and CPU.
In one or two of those 2+ Hours waiting season Salad and PortonVPN were only open apps.
At this moment I signed in to the app with VPN but I turned off after it and start installing; if it worked I let you know.
I found out that if I restart PC it’s possible that app asking to add it to windows defender whitelist. Once at start, once after 2H.

It was working for my GTX 960 2GB 2 weeks before. But it stopped working all out of sudden for some reason.
