Does Disney+ work in France? When I switch my vpn to France all the dubbing/subtitles are the same as my home country. When I switch it to Germany the dubbing/subtitles are what’s available in Germany. When I switch back to France straight from Germany, all the stuff remains in German. It’s like it’s not switching to the French options when my vpn is set to France. I don’t know if I’m making sense.

This part may be a question for the Disney+ subreddit so I may end up cross-posting there.
I’m trying to learn French by watching Disney movies, but most movies aren’t available in French. I’ve tried switching my location to France (as well as Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Canada) and they’re still not available. They’ve definitely been dubbed into French. Does anyone know why this could be happening?
Disney remembers your last location and doesnt switch until you force it.
Turn off the VPN. Make a new separate profile on Disney+. Turn your VPN on to your country of choice. Return to your main profile, switch to the new profile, and then back to your main profile. Your new location will be reflected in the app.
You can play audio in any language in the Disney settings. No VPN needed.
German account?
EU portability regulations state that you can travel in Europe and use your home content.
… basically means you can’t really region hop with an EU account in other EU countries.
Canada should in theory work, if they show French language versions of course. Which you’d assume they do/did.
Just enable subtitles and dubbing in French. Not need for vpn
Disney won’t let me switch between profiles due to “suspicious activity”(it works fine without the vpn). Oh well, thank you though!
EDIT: I tried it again with Belgium and it worked like a charm! Apparently France in particular is quite difficult
Thank you again!
Unfortunately not. For instance, in my country Encanto is available in French, but Tangled isn’t
Sorry, miscommunication on my part. I’m not in the EU, I just wanted to see if I switch to Germany, would it show movies in German? (It does). But when I switch to France or another French speaking country, it doesn’t show movies in French
Subtitles and dubbing aren’t available for all movies, e.g. I can change the dubbing/subtitles to French for Encanto, but not for Tangled
