How Amazon Netflix know I'm on a VPN? How to bypass this?

Recently brought a VPN but Amazon prime and Netflix are able to detect and either giving me a warning or an error like unable to play.

How to bypass it without affecting the speeds?

Note - only reason I posted here instead technicalsupport as it’s related to privacy that many of you are using, which means I am going to right group of people. Mod - I respect if I need to remove this.

They have lists of various vpn providers IP addresses, if you appear to them from your VPN server they know you are on a vpn.

They are obligated by thier content producers to geofence by country to keep markets seperate, there are lists of what can be shown in each country or region.

Allowing people to VPN to another region breaks the geofencing controls.

You can try switching servers with your VPN.

Beyond what was already said, you can also consider running your own VPN server on DigitalOcean or Linode for a few dollars a month, this takes some skill to set up, but you won’t be on any lists.

actually you can’t bypass this. you can find another vpn that might be working today, but tomorrow it will stop working too.

it is disgusting that you can’t use a service you paid for. and this is the reason I won’t pay a penny to Netflix and other cretins and will continue using pirate services.

What VPN are you using? Not all VPN providers try to circumvent Netflix/amazon rules.
IF you are using a VPN that promises that you can watch foreign Netflix/amazon it can be that Netflix/amazon has found out how the VPN did and blocked that particular way to do it. But usually the VPN-guys has found another way pretty fast. It is a constant cat and mouse game between them  Atleast that is my experience with PrivateVPN.

browser fingerprint, you need plugins or config tweaks

Try opera browser with vpn enabled

What VPN? Only a few have made it around Netflix

When I was deployed my dedicated Nord VPN IP didn’t trigger any of Amazon or Netflix flags. I’ve been thinking of setting up my own VPN with a OVH VPS but haven’t got to it or researched much about it.

Pirate bay is your friend

This is the issue. Find a VPN that uses individual IP addresses for each customer. When they’re shared it usually only takes a few days for Netflix to add them to their filter.

I have tried many IPs… But no luck.

You will lose any privacy then. Since you will have a unique ip again.

Sounds interesting. Will YouTube to understand better… Thank you!

I use surfshark. Works wonders with netflix

What VPN are you using?

As per the rules we should not discuss specific vpn.

Could you share more info or keywords so I can search for them?

How can we dedicate a NORD ip? How if is different from having your home ip, as anyway the IP isn’t going to change… Can you shed some light?

Isn’t that a torrent site? How is it helpful?

In this case case, it should be fine. If you are hyper paranoid you could probably tunnel your network from another VPN onto your personal VPN.
