How to get to built in VPN settings on Quest2?

I only have WiFi options but wants to adjust my vpn settings. Screenshot is from www. How to access that settings in the standalone mode? I already have WireGuard installed with a VPN

Is it even an available feature of the Meta OS? They strip a lot of Android stuff out. Some is fully removed, some just disabled. I don’t think it’s a thing I have ever seen anyone say is working. Meta I think would like to know peoples actual locations at all times since they are mostly just there to eat your data.

You can’t access that without sideloading something like Pi Launcher, Lightning Launcher, or Activity Launcher.

Once you’re there, you can’t add one, but you can adjust what you’ve already installed (if that’s where that app would normally be configured.)

For example, Gnirehtet only has the Always, Block, and Forget options. It doesn’t expose routing or stuff like that, even though it supports those other features.

I have PIA VPN side loaded on my Q3 and it works fine. Currently…

Quest For Business have VPN available. Never heard about any other official VPN solution.

I’m running VPN on my quest 3. It’s not really a difficult thing to set up. I am using proton VPN which I installed from an apk file. Once you install it it shows up in the settings. I can then change the kill switch settings (always on/block connections without) in the android settings which I can navigate to through the lightning launcher (this is sideloaded). Check out some tutorials on YouTube.

Ah, what a bummer. So probably a sidequest hack again sigh

Yeah, that part is easy. However my USA VPNs tend to be either too slow or, like the wireguard thing, shows me an IP in Israel for whatever reason :joy: have to restart the quest, then it works. That was the reason of my question

If the framework is even there… trying to get android to be a VR operating system probably isn’t the most elegant of processes. I’m sure they hack and slash their way through a lot of stuff just to end up with something that mostly works.

Can’t you just drop the VPN on your router? I thought some of them could put specific clients on VPN while leaving the rest of your network alone.

Hmm, I just need it to play Supernatural outside of US tbh. Problem is, WireGuard does not reconnect sometimes and I want to fix that by using normal android settings. Would be probably a bit too much to put it on the router

Well you might want to look into the router option a bit. On my router I could just assign the Quest to use the VPN and leave the rest of the house running as normal. There’s different protocols for VPN’s so it’s possible you might find one that works right if you poke it a bit… assuming you can’t find a way to get it going on the Quest itself.

Supernatural is pretty great, hope you get it working. Shame the US music industry makes licensing music internationally such a pain.
