I’ve decided to go with the Amazon Stick 4K Max 16GB – it’s the only budget option that’s worth buying. But I’ve been seeing a lot of people misleading others into buying a useless VPN. Any thoughts on that? ( UK )

YouTube premium works just fine. No need for smart tube. Just have decent internet

Hadn’t heard of Proton VPN - might check it out - is there an app for the firestick or need to sideload?

Recently started using Stremio myself after other apps like Cinema, FlixVision & Film+ started to struggle to find any or many RD links for movies etc - Seems good so far

I’ve heard of OnStream but never used it - is there Ads?

What makes you say it’s “necessary”? I’ve never heard of a single story of someone getting in trouble for streaming content. Also WORST case scenario your ISP sends you a letter, THEN you can consider getting a VPN.

what channels they got

and can’t lie 16 a month kinda expensive for IPTV

Agree. My ISP doesn’t block anything at all. It really is ISP specific. Sky, BT and Virgin do everything they can to block streams. I’ve never had a single warning or letter.

Having said that I do have VPNs for other reasons. Your best bet is to check out the cashback sites like TopCashBack and Quidco as they have some amazing deals on VPNs.

I’m paid less than £10 in total for 27 months of Nordvpn.

You’re kidding me right? This comment really shows how ignorant you are in this space lol… You must be new to streaming

I’ve already gone for the 4K Max 2nd Gen. Only £43 and comes with warranty.

The American one would be more expensive here since they’re imported and have limited stock. I could be wrong, but I don’t think UK apps would work on them.

VPN not needed for IPTV viewed through tiviMate? Why not?

appreciate that bro. What’s the Torrentio app?

  • IPTV for live TV.

  • Stremio for movies + shows (use it with Real Debrid)

Stremio with Real Debrid.

Then install the following add-ons;

Torrentio, MediaFusion, Comet and Orion.

The best thing you will ever do.

https://troypoint.com/

Smarttube for ad-free Youtube. Streamfire/sportsfire for live TV/sports. Onstream and Flix Vision for movies/shows. VLC for streaming local content from PC/NAS. Downloader code 28907.

You don’t need a VPN unless you’re torrenting. You don’t need a VPN if watching torrents from Stremio’s Torrentio extension with a (paid) real debrid account, because you’re streaming that content from RD’s servers. However, if real debrid isn’t logged in/expires, Torrentio will be torrenting, sharing your IP and copyrighted content and risking getting sued.

How do I get downvoted because my streams buffer? Jesus.

It makes a huge difference. Once you’ve tried Debrid like Real-Debrid or similar you will never go back. It’s totally worth the small cost

I’ve recently gone through it all with the same firestick as you and can say for sure it’s worth the money to get set up with Stremio as you’ll struggle to find 4k streams without it

Take the advice. It seems daunting to set up but really isn’t. Buffer free streaming of any vod content you want. It’s absolutely worth it.

I pay just s bit over $3 for AD, bet sub I have, not only does it work with apps it is great for file release sites, safe torrenting without a VPN and grabbing videos from sites, such as YouTube.

Real debrid is like 20 for 6 months

It barely makes a difference for me and a few others(we all have a good 50mbps internet connection mind you) and it wasn’t worth it after all.
I rather wait 1-5 seconds when clicking a serie or movie as spending some money which takes it down to 1-3 seconds. Those two seconds we didn’t care for at all.
Further more if you live in a country which respects your freedom you won’t need a VPN nor do I see any other reason to have a debrid service.
