Some people encounter unpredictable money issues but still need access to email. Not everything in life is planned.
When you cancel, you lose VPN services but email works fine. They are a little harsh on people who don’t cancel a subscription, keep trying to use the service but don’t pay. Sometimes for months!
Then expect the previous month fees to be waived off. That’s not how commercial contracts work. Anywhere.
It’s not eather, both “insane” and “cruel” are way to over the top for this situation. It is, in reallity, infuriating and bad practice on their side…
I think that’s only an issue when you have the ProtonMail + ProtonVPN package. I use the free tier plan for ProtonMail and a paid tier for VPN, so I don’t think there’s gonna be an issue with mail if you don’t pay the VPN subscription.
We’re happy to hear that! Let us know if you have any questions or feedback.
No, the iOS app isn’t out yet, but it should in the near future because they’re actively developing the project, and the iOS app is essential in the longterm. For now, you’ll need to access Proton Calendar with the web browser. You can make an iOS app for Calendar with Safari if you want. It’s basically a desktop shortcut to the Proton Calendar website. It’s not quite the same as a dedicated app, but it works.
I use subscription to malwarebytes. I have for a few years. Works well for me. I liked aviria when I was younger. Their free tier seemed to work well.
Yeah, speeds are fine for me as well. I just wish they would add servers in a city such as Gothenburg in Sweden as that would be closer for me than Stockholm. I hope they add it.
They give you a grace period for that. They don’t shut down services and call in the cavalry at the very second the payment is bounced. They even send reminders.
If someone is still not paying, that not lack of planning. That’s something else.
Can you link to a clear package deal webpage for all of your services? I’m trying to buy a basic plan with everything for 2 years’ service but I can’t find it.
Oh sorry I was referring to Avira Phantom the VPN…
