I am using USA servers from Asia. Top speed here is 10mbps.

I never used Cryptocurrencies. How do I setup to buy Mullvad? I see terrible reviews about every hot wallet.

This is actually the best deal for Canadians for Mullvad. Admittedly, they take a loss but I don’t mind it at all. 5 Euros x 12 months = 60 Euros, Converted to CAD is around 88$ at the moment.

You can get a 12 month physical voucher from amazon for 75 CAD + Tax and you can avoid the currency exchange fee

and its also cheaper ,as their is always 5% discount on google play credit on amazon (sometimes upto 10% )
and mullvad charges 5.5$ (even after converting to respective currency)

Except for the fact that some of their IP’s are black listed and aren’t allowed. Not a lot. I’m a fan of Mullvad. But that’s just being honest. If I continually can’t get somewhere, and change locations a few times. Switch to proton and in right away.

Yeah I know what premium features they have; I just mean in terms of speed that free tier is perfectly usable too.

what latency do you get to US west servers?

600Mbps here. What device gets you those speeds?

They ship you a physical card with the voucher code

AFAIK, Mullvad banned the IP addresses of those who were abusing their service - - not for torrenting per se. Some customers had servers always connected to the VPN and causing all kinds of problems for other customers due to: excessive traffic, spreading malware, hacking, etc.

The Proton VPN free tier doesn’t allow torrenting.

icmp_seq=6 ttl=47 time=290 ms

Lax wg 101: icmp_seq=5 ttl=49 time=208 ms

Typical.

The only complaint I have is captchas.

Of course, but what other free VPNs allow torrenting while also offering high speeds and no traffic caps with no-logs policy on top?

And it’s not like torrenting is the sole reason to get a VPN.

Just to share that I am from Singapore. And the lowest latency I can get to LA is 164ms. On NordVPN. I have been trying to find other VPNs that can provide me this speed.

I’m not disputing you. I’m just pointing out a disadvantage for those who want to torrent
