Netflix keeps saying I'm using a proxy or VPN on my Fold 3 but I'm not...any clue?

It limits the shows I can watch but no VPN is installed. I found the VPN section in the settings and there’s nothing there.

is the “secure wifi” turned on?

I would try soft restarting your modem/router (turn it off, wait a few seconds, turn back on). I assume you’re on WiFi.

Are you using an ad blocker?

I’m getting this too also on cellular with att. Going to test my wife’s phone when she gets home and also test it when connected to wifi at home but every search I’ve done is just telling me to download a VPN. I also don’t know if it’s related or not but I had a new unknown device access my account this morning and had to change my password to log everything out.

I use AT&T as well and just watched Blade Runner to test. It is working for me on cellular no issues. Have you tried using a VPN service to test?

I don’t see that but I see private dns was on. Could it be that? This was happening over cellular.

Nope this is on cellular

Well at least I’m not alone. Maybe it’s an att problem

Check to see if you are using “Secure Wifi” (found under Biometrics and Security). It’s basically just Samsung’s VPN, rebranded so it sounds more security like. I suspect you have that turned on. I think they give you 250MB free data, and charge you after that.

Yes, using private dns can do this.

Interesting. What carrier do you use? It sounds like Netflix may have flagged the IP you’re on; just a guess. Your carrier may have to get with them to resolve, which may take a long time.

The only workaround (as far as I know) would be to use an actual VPN to get around the block. Ah, the irony.

Kinda sounds like it might be but at the same time with the only solution being to buy a VPN it seems weird

Just got home and it’s working fine on wifi so I’m thinking att problem
