I am trying to run Airvpn and Plex on the same machine, but I am running into problems.
Since split tunneling is not possible, I tried Wiresock, but it was leaking through my IP, not very good for torrents.
So I found a guide, added my subnet to Eddie client to work outside the VPN, and disabled network lock.
Plex seems to be working outside network and it is not throttling (like with VPN before).
Anything else I should do to not leak my IP with torrents?
Just make sure to bind your VPN network Interface in your torrent client. I recommend qBittorrent.
Run the torrent client and AirVPN in Docker and connect the docker container with the torrent client to the docker container with the vpn.
I am running my server on Windows 10, and did an nslookup of plex.tv
This returned two IP addresses: 52.214.150.12 & 34.250.96.43
I added these to the “Routes” tab in the Eddie client, and set a port to forward 32400 to a different port on my router.
Plex traffic runs outside of the VPN in a split-tunnel.
Edit: When it stopped working a day later because of IP changes I realized I just needed to add plex.tv to “Routes”. This has stayed working for a couple of weeks now.
I tried qbittorrentvpn on windows but I couldn’t get it to work.
