Something very strange happened to my network. I can’t login to a particular website as long as I try to access it from my home network. Tried on difference browsers and devices and no luck. I can use my phone to access it if I use my cellular network. Also very interestingly, if I use my vpn under my home network, I can suddenly access it. Somehow I think this is related to my ip address, but my limited knowledge can’t figure out why. Appreciate any help!
You’ve been banned at the IP level from that server. Your network is unable to direct you via DNS because the DNS server is polluted probably your router. Your ISP has prevented that server from being contacted, or that server contacting you, or the DNS server they provide from returning the IP, or the ISPs DNS server is polluted.
Try changing the DNS on your PC to 8.8.8.8.
Do you get any error? Maybe it is a problem with the DNS?
It seems like you’re trying really hard to obfuscate what site it actually is.
Hmm I’ve never heard of router DNS pollution can you provide me some sources on the subject please? It’s a very interesting concept.
Yep, changing my DNS on the router solved my problem. Thanks y’ll!
This is the error message:
"This site can’t be reached
XXXXX.com took too long to respond.
Try:
- Checking the connection
- Checking the proxy and the firewall
- [Running Windows Network Diagnostics](javascript:diagnoseErrors())
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT"
lol. Just an online banking site.
Hmm /u/Archelaus_Euryalos it looks like you refrained from responding friend.
Almost like you invented something that doesn’t exist.
I think you have a problem with dns, try changing the dns on the router and on your devices.
My first try before I change any setting on my system is this:
Maybe your IP was miscategorized for geolocation.
Significantly harder to help without specifics
If you visit https://www.ip2location.com, does your IP address being detected as proxy/VPN?
hello! may I ask how you change your dns?
i would also like to know how do you change your dns
