When I did research for the provider I ended up getting, being on this list was a requirement imo and indeed it’s not only on it but it’s the first one. Enjoy!!!
P.S. note to experienced vpn users I made this thread for the noobs who always ask which one to go with.
I was performing a more formal product or service selection process, I would list the requirements, and then weight them based on importance, before evaluating and scoring the offerings.
What OP has posted is a list of services, with responses.
There no easy way to compare offerings though.
We made the list because we responded quickly and work closely with TF when they request information from us for articles / possible headlines involving encryption technologies.
While they do display their paid sponsors first they also tell people that some providers are paid sponsors. Of course paid sponsors would be higher on the list. The only way I would not expect it to be that way is if they said here is the list in order from best to worst.
They added LiquidVPN and are not affiliates with them and Liquid never paid to be on the list. I can assure you that.
i once mailed mullvad cash by snail mail to keep my vpn going - simply amazing.
i’d still use them if they were not so expensive. it’s hard to beat ibvpn when
you catch a sale and only end up paying $2/mo for single user p2p outlets.
This. They do list some paid sponsors, and do inform people as they legally have to if located in the USA (FTC regulations).
I am sure some are paid up top, but thats probably by choice. Also, every single link except for a few are not affiliate links. I really doubt torrentfreak is extorting money.
Also, who wouldn’t list paid sponsors on the top? They paid to be there.
