Using ExpressVPN through phone on PS5 - is this actually giving me servers elsewhere or just changing my geolocation?

I have ExpressVPN for my firestick and decided to give it a go on PS5. Followed instructions to setup my phone IP as a proxy for the PS5. It has changed my geolocation in WZ2 to whatever region my phone VPN is connected to. Question is, are the lobbies actually also from those regions or is it still connecting to my normal region? I’m not 100% sure and hoping someone can answer. Cheers

Enable the “Network Latency” or “ping” overlay in-game.
Local servers would have a ping around 10-50ms. Anything over 100ms is probably another country!

You could always join 4-man modes with your mic and ask them too.

Get on ps5’s browser and type on google what is my ip.

Will tell you your location.

How do you set your phone IP as a proxy for ps5? I have an iPhone and unsure how to do it

I didn’t even know the PS5 had a browser…but apparently it does so thanks for the suggestion!
