After switching to Apple from Samsung and using NordVPN on both I have noticed this small difference. When I used my VPN on my Samsung it displayed a small key icon on the top left or right, signifying the VPN is on. Now when I enable a VPN on my iPhone it only pops up a “VPN” icon for a moment to cover the battery and wifi icon, then goes away.

I know this is a small change but did Apple mean it to work this way? And if not is there a way for it to become a permanent icon while enabled like it did on my Samsung?
