I have Nord and just followed these instructions. However lots of routers don’t support this kind of setup, so may not work. Other comments in the thread have conflicting results arounds just running the Nord app on the appleTV
I don’t understand. I pay for Youtube Premium and I don’t get any ads of any kind. Well, except for sponsored content where the ad is spoken in the video content. Is it only certain types of content that get midroll ads?
I expect they’re talking about the “ads” that are baked into the video - the content creator taking a moment out from the presentation to talk to you about Kindle or whatever.
I have no idea about automation but it’s super quick to toggle it on and off. I personally turn it on every time I watch YouTube. I also use it sometimes for international libraries on stuff like Netflix and Disney+. I also use it to put myself in alternative locations for ESPN+ to circumvent blackouts. It’s very useful.
