I uninstall TikTok during the ban to make a room on my phone because I was making videos for my YouTube channel, but then after a couple hours, it was back, but I cannot install it from the App Store. Does anybody know if they will eventually put it back in the App Store?
Looks like you won’t be able to download it anytime soon sadly. Maybe there are any workarounds?
Edit: Ok, so it looks like we won’t be getting it back to App Store/Play Store anytime soon, but there are a few methods for both of them how you can download it again. But you will need a VPN and to change your store settings or create a new one. The only (likely) way it’ll end up back in the App Store is if an American buys TikTok’s US operations in the next 60ish days, or if Congress passes a law to nullify the ban.

My old phone shit the bed and I had to get a new phone…. But I can’t download my TikTok account and I’m so genuinely sad and bummed. Kinda angry too… especially because I had never deleted it.
I don’t understand how those who didn’t delete the app can access it but those who deleted the app can’t get it back. It’s unfair I understand life isn’t fair but it makes no sense half the people can use it and half cannot.
I just found out that they added it back to the AppStore. Apparently they added it back 4 days ago.

not sure about iphone but on my motorola phone tiktok is an app that came pre installed so when i uninstalled it like u did i factory reset my phone and the app came back. not sure if u want to try that or not.

I’m pretty sure you can still side load TikTok, the ban was only about American appstores hosting it. The servers were never effect by the ban. On android you have always been able to download/install an apk, I’m pretty sure recently the EU forced Apple to allow side loading on IOS. Worst case if you have an Iphone and can’t side-load just pick up a cheap burner android just for TikTok.

Apple won’t let me unfortunately. Says I have active subscriptions (that have been cancelled) and won’t let me. Doing it as a family organizer is a nightmare. I wish I could get CapCut and TikTok back
They aren’t bringing it back to app stores due to legal issues.
