I want to watch the oilers play in BC. And I can’t find any VPN that has servers located in Alberta.
I don’t understand your question…if your outgoing VPN node was in Edmonton, you would be blacked out of the official NHL gamecenter feed.
Set the node to somewhere down in the states and you should be good to go…
I believe TunnelBear (www.tunnelbear.com rawr!) has endpoints in Canada. Not Edmonton specifically but worth checking out because they’ve GOT FREAKIN’ BEARS MAN!
Did you ever find a solution for this? I’m having the exact same issue. You used to be able to trick the app through chromecast but they fixed it
There’s no major network hubs in Edmonton so it’s unlikely or not really useful to have one here.

Following… I work in BC and buy my lotto tickets online. They have to use location services and confirm you’re in Alberta before you can buy, and being registered with an Alberta address is not enough.
Ya Game Center would be fine where I am … but through our local cable sports net broadcasts all oilers games free… I just have to trick the sports net app to say I live in Alberta. (Cheaper option).

They only have servers in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. When you are out of Alberta and want to watch games on the $14 SN Oilers package you can’t because SN only lets people who buy the Oilers package watch in Alberta, Sask, Yukon, and NWT. Thus without servers in any of the regions I mentioned you can watch Oilers games
