Will we see streaming services like Disney plus and MAX crack down on vpns?

Does anyone have issues accessing it using a vpn? Sometimes I’ll have an issue where they keep asking me to login again ? But other than that do you think we will see them start to crack down on the vpns like some other services?

All streaming services have already tried to block VPN services on and off the last few years. To me, it‘s a cat-and-mouse game; some servers get blocked, some continue to work. Some services overall stop working, others work fine. Where I am right now, things are working fairly well, but back in 2020-21, pretty much every week I had issues with various streaming services.

The biggest issue I have today is — if something stops working, reporting it to ExpressVPN support is going to be painful. Basically, instead of responding “thanks for reporting, we’ll look into it,” their support staff (bots?) are trained to make you troubleshoot your setup, to the point they almost ask you to reset your internet router, which is a waste of time. I pine for the old days of their support team…

I was having issues connecting with Disney Plus through a vpn. Then i tried using a different 3rd party dns provider and used dns over tls feature to encrypt my dns. Then i run Disney Plus through the vpn tunnel. It connects just fine now.

Just went through this this morning as it seems Sling TV has blocked VPNs. Did an hour of “troubleshooting” with ExVPN, which was all stuff I had already tried before contacting them and, for the first time in 6-7 years, couldn’t find a solution.

He said they will escalate, so we’ll see. But it seems I’m dead in the water for now…
