I moved out of the USA. I need to report the move online to cancel my insurance...but you can't access the website from outside the USA

I tried calling, was on hold for 15 minutes then got offered to have a call back in approximately “100 minutes.” When I selected yes, it said the request failed and put me back on hold. That would have been an INSANELY expensive overseas phone call, so I had to hang up. Asked my mom if she could go in person to the office, they told her they can’t do anything since it needs to be ME that files the documents with them. They told her to give me the website and have me submit them online. But you get an error 403 (access forbidden) any time you try to enter the website from outside the United States.
Thankfully I have a wonderful mom who will call with me tomorrow and hopefully be able to log into my account and submit things for me, but…really?! This is insane.

Use a VPN and use a US server.

If you are in Europe:

They were never GDPR compliant. Rather than taking privacy serious they block access from Europe to not be liable.

Send a letter snail mail.

stop paying the bill, they will contact you

Use a VPN ostrich vpn is free and i use it to access Netflix shows that aren’t available where i live!

Call using Google Voice. You’ll need a US phone number to set it up initially, but that shouldn’t be hard with family in the US.

You don’t need a VPN. Use Tor, it’s a browser that lets you set your region and it works and is safe and free. I use it to watch certain American youtube channels from Canada.

Tor: https://www.torproject.org/download/

How to set region: https://gist.github.com/ichisadashioko/2491540e6bfbdee92c6693aa326b7e5a

If it was me, I would be giving my mom the URL and all my info, and having her enter the cancelation in the US

Hey there, have you heard of my sponsor NordVPN?

Vpn or phonecall or email

Weirdest craiglist ad ever

Windscribe VPN is free

What about using VPN to make it look like you are in the US?

When roaming almost all of the time mobile data goes back to your home network (this is why roaming is slower btw)
If it isn’t too expensive and you still have an American SIM, just connect to a mobile network and you should automatically have an American IP.
This works in countries where VPNs are prohibited too.

Wouldn’t a VPN hide your location?

Ever heard about a vpn?

It’s getting worse and worse with sites blocking everyone but US :expressionless_face:

Shitty design for sure! Seems like a good way to keep getting money outta ya

Do you have a trusted friend in the US that can do it for you?
