Is Dashlane still worth it? Getting rid of monthly plans now that it’s free and read-only. I think it’s becoming worse, not better. What do you think?
Happy user with family premium subscription since 3 years. Does what I need it for and easy to use. Recommend it.
It’s working well for me. Worth the annual cost.
I still use it but I’ve always used the yearly pay anyway.
I wouldn’t use any other password manager. (And the yearly pay is fine with me.)

No. I switched to Bitwarden recently, can recommend.
Use it daily for years, pay for premium. its an awesome and reliable Password manager. Other password manager interfaces confuse me a lot
Works great and i use it since many years daily,
but you should be able to give keywords in other languages, to help recognize them a special field
And a bigger and better searchable (also searchable in the app) secured notes file, i have to cut them in 3

Happy with the password manager. Got the family premium which includes Hotshield VPN.
Still missing some advance features:
- password field for PIN numbers
- a better way to find duplicate/ sort
- secure notes with attachment shareable
- passkey for logging into password manager (chicken and egg scenario)
- password changing for know website application
I couldn’t create a post because my karma isn’t high enough so my only option is to comment my horrible experience with dashlane on a related post. I’ve lost all my password, I tried to contact the support but I could only talk to a bot which asks first for your email to check if you’re a premium user. I asked to talk to a human and the bot told me that if I was a dashlane Free user, I could only talk to human under “specific circumstances” (which are not detailed) and asked me if I had another account that wasn’t dashlane Free, LOL. The bot is obviously useless and just there to sort users if they’re premium or not, if you’re not premium, they don’t care about your issues, they are not professional.
The yearly payment plan is what most people use anyway, so that’s not a big deal.
What’s a big deal is the recently announced price hike of 50% increase!!! I was already struggling to justify the cost when you have decent alternatives out there for a fraction of the amount, so this 50% increase will make me move to Bitwarden.
Tough one-time transition pain, but the right decision in the long run.

I don’t think it’s as convenient as it used to be.
You can’t sign in for the next 14 days now. It would be great if it used a passkey to sign in automatically rather than annoyingly having to sign in the middle of signing into another site.

They jacked up their prices by over 50% 24 hours after the renewal notice. There are better and cheaper options.
The software is good. The price is way too high now, and it’s difficult to get help.
I have been “premium” for many years. Recently I had clicked for “help” and was directed to a a “help site”. Looking back, I suspect it was a “third party” site. I got no help but a charge for $46.00 - for nothing. [my VPN still does not work] I tried to get an explanation from Dashlane, but I could not find anyone to answer. my question. Dashlane is not what it used to be.
