Well the people using Turbo currently are the ones not using ad blockers. So seems kind of dumb to punish the people actually paying them already for the people who do not and never will pay them anything.
Yeah I used turbo to not use adblocker. Now I will. gg ez twitch
Yeah I hate regional pricing
Did you miss the part where they fired about 20% of their staff a few months ago?
Nope. Mine was like $10.15 per month after taxes.
Now it would be over $15.
I unsubbed already. Back to adblocker. Greedy.
I wasn’t sure about that. I didn’t check my statement to confirm. I hate email invoices that don’t specify the currency.
Some folks have moved over to FourthWall for support, merch store, etc. They offer a much better split for creators. Places like YouTube and Twitch are just a virtual sweatshop where the provider makes most of the bank. We need a better way of allowing creators control of the ads showing on their streams and videos. The current system just doesn’t work. Don’t get me started on how poorly all the platforms manage DMCA issues.
TTVLOL and PurpleTV for android app.
Twitch Ad Blocker in google chrome’s extensions is an option!
When I reference ad-block do you think I’m talking about ads embedded in a streamers stream feed? Let’s have some common sense.
Twitch’s wording ISN’T SO SPECIFIC, unfortunately. It is worded to be very ambiguous. I feel it is opening up several avenues for new unblocked ads. You can disagree. We will all find out.
So, ads? I mean your even calling them ads. Ad-free means no ads.
All they care about is money, so they aren’t worried about hurting dedicated fans if the net result is more money.
I guess I did. Apparently it wasn’t the right choice to stem the bleeding.
I’m on firefox, unfortunately
They aren’t ads that can be blocked is the point if you can’t figure that out yourself then idk what to tell you.
They have it for Firefox too! https://addons.mozilla.org/en-CA/firefox/addon/twitch-ad-blocker/
